Summer 2014

 

The Melodians have been busy during the summer playing at the many open air events taking place in London. They played at the World City Music Festival in June, the City of London Music Festival in July and were also excited to play at the Great British Carnival at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on 27th July.

The World City Music Festival at Osterley Park 28th and 29th June 2014

The Melodians Steel Orchestra was the opening act for the festival at Osterley on Saturday 28th June.  In spite of the heavy rain the crowds came out and danced to the exciting beat of the Melodians.  This was a great start to the weekend of World music. City of London Festival 22nd June to 17th July

Commonwealth Family Day on Parliament Hill Sunday 13th July

This was a great day with lots of families enjoying the music of the Melodians Steel Orchestra at Parliament Hill on Hampstead Heath.

At lunchtime outside the Gherkin on Wednesday 16th July the city workers were delighted to be entertained by the Melodians for a free concert as part of the City of London Festival.
