Art Night 2019 Review

Art Night 2019 was a fantastic event. The Melodians performed 3 sets between 5.30pm and 9pm. It was noticeable that the crowd in Pancras Square would increase when our performance was due and each performance gradually got a bigger and more enthusiastic audience. We had to do an encore after the final performance as the audience was so keen!

Here is a video of the first performance of Rasputin.

Desert Island Discs Sunday 6th January Radio 4

Just to let you know that Jeremy Deller will be on Desert Island Discs, BBC Radio 4, Sunday 6th January at 11.15am.  As we have collaborated with Jeremy on 3 different projects we anticipate getting a mention and some of our music may be played (can say no more).

Art Night 2018

Video from Art Night 2018 on 7th July where Melodians collaborated with the artist Jeremy Deller to become an ‘Art Installation’ in Battersea by performing a single piece of music continuously for the entire evening from 6pm until 1am the next day (with just a 1 hour break for dinner).  By my calculation around 50 performances.

It might have been difficult, but as the visitors to the event came and went each performance was fully appreciated and the Melodians put all their experience and enthusiasm into the event.

London Fashion Week – Isa Arfen Show

The London Fashion Week – Isa Arfen Show this week was fantastic, the designs were great and the response from the audience was tremendous.  Here is a small section of the event which shows part of the Cat Walk with the Melodians clearly seen playing at the back of the hall.  A great experience for the Melodians.  No logos were allowed.
